Our Ideas

Who said 13 was an unlucky number?

Look Back 2013As we turn the page on 2013, the Junxion team is both content and energised by the year that was. Indeed, a number of important milestones marked the past year for us:

  • We’ve articulated a strategic plan for the next three years that will see Junxion continue to grow its team, services and impact, and open a fourth office (more on that in the months to come)
  • Our Vancouver office continued to spread its wings south of the border, bringing a number of US-based clients on board while continuing to lead projects across Canada
  • Erin Barrett, our London principal, gave birth to a baby boy, Robertson, and has spent the past seven months discovering the joys of parenthood
  • We welcomed Adam Garfunkel Erin’s maternity replacement in London. Adam brings 20+ years of experience in corporate sustainability communications, copywriting and brand articulation
  • Mike Rowlands, our Vancouver Principal, was invited to serve Social Venture Network as an Ambassador
  • We’ve been awarded work by a long list of new clients, including Mèdecins sans Frontiéres, International HIV / AIDS Alliance, ACT Foundation, and Heathrow Airport
  • We continued to grow and build our team in India where we now number nine staff with more hires on the horizon

Of course, our clients and their work continue to fuel our passion and we have been inspired by so many projects throughout the year. They have touched on a range of issues, including:

  • Fostering the growth of various social enterprises
  • Deepening community engagement for organisations and enterprises
  • Fueling sustainable businesses
  • Strengthening local and sustainable food systems
  • Supporting programmes to address the transmission of HIV across southeast Asia
  • Reporting on sustainability performance
  • Raising funds for several non-governmental organisations across a range of causes

As we count down to the end of 2013 and look ahead to the possibilities of the year ahead, we are thankful to all of you for your continued support. We wish you all the very best for the holiday season and the new year.
