While people purchase value, they bond with values. The organisations that bring to life their social values and commitments will drive positive social change and enduring business success. Today, Social Purpose is the new brand.”

With a background in academic excellence, management consulting and advertising, Pamela works with private/public sector companies, cause-related organisations and brands.

Core to Pamela’s work is the bold assertion that purpose is the new marketing. While people purchase commodities, they bond with—and are loyal to—the companies and brands that stand for something meaningful and relevant. To that end, Pamela has developed social purpose strategies for Purina, Walmart, Tim Hortons, the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Prior to joining the Junxion team, Pamela created and led Ethos JWT, the corporate responsibility division of JWT. Prior to that, she was a Senior Consultant with KPMG. Pamela started her career as an academic, teaching at Queen’s University and The University of Toronto. She is known for asking difficult and provocative questions, and developing and implementing expert facilitation. An accomplished public speaker, she brings enthusiasm, energy and passion to all her work. Pamela has a PhD in Economic History from The University of Chicago. Pamela is also Director of the new Centre for Sustainable Enterprise at the Schulich Executive Education Centre.
