“We came to Junxion with a rough plan and some thoughts about what we wanted and who we wanted to communicate with. From there, they took our plan to a whole new level and provided service beyond our expectations. Our communications needs were complex, and Junxion helped us to shift and re-define our objectives and strategy to create materials that would resonate with our audiences over the long term. The Junxion team understood how to communicate within the trade and provided solid counsel and high-quality collateral materials that truly meet our needs.” - Kim Savage, Director, Residential Construction Industry Training Organization

In 2006, GeoExchange B.C. and the Thermal Environmental Comfort Association of B.C. (TECA BC) joined forces to form a training committee called Geo-TECA. The two associations represent the interests of workers in the residential heating, cooling and ventilation trades in B.C. Geo-TECA collaborated on the creation of two new industry certifications and trades training programs and came to Junxion Strategy looking for short-term print collateral to promote them. However, after analyzing Geo-TECA’s goals, Junxion determined that the committee required strategic support beyond the original scope of work, and contributed some pro-bono time towards developing a long-term strategy.

Junxion provided strategic counsel and helped Geo-TECA establish a broader direction for their messages and long-term goals. With two complex new certifications, a broad target audience and the involvement of several governing organizations, Junxion’s challenge was to simplify and centralize the delivery methods and messages. Junxion recommended a web-based approach and developed a comprehensive website that introduced visitors to the new certifications and training programs and provided a clear call to action. The home page directs its two distinct target audiences - new workers entering the field and those already employed in it - to the appropriate sections of the site that address their unique information needs.

Junxion effectively branded Geo-TECA’s efforts and created a logo that illustrates the residential angle of the new trades and reflects the website’s URL, resulting in a clear and convenient way for its audience to obtain more information and avoid confusion with the many governing bodies. With an eye towards Geo-TECA’s future, Junxion also designed a series of promotional pieces that can be changed and adapted to a variety of scenarios.
